A semi-development role for an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer, with strong competency in AWS and experienced in Linux/Unix administration. An individual who is methodical in their approach, enjoys troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes and can efficiently manage and prioritise a varying workload, while providing strong communication with clients.

You will be responsible for investigating and managing 2nd and 3rd level support escalations; whilst ensuring customer infrastructures are maintained, secure and updated. Proactively detecting areas of concern, anticipating risks and obstacles, whilst using your initiative to continuously improve service performance and reliability. identifying software bugs and proposing fixes for peer review by the engineering team.

A passion for personal development and a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the entire technology stack is essential. Possessing solid research skills with an emphasis on finding and using information quickly, whilst keeping apprised of new Amazon Web Services, industry trends and security best practises.

As a collaborative conduit between various technical and non-technical teams you will be able to audit projects prior to being received from Development to ensure they are in a suitably operational and supportable shape.

  • Experience with the core AWS services and cloud technology.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, OpsGenie or similar.
  • Experience in maintaining cloud-native applications in an AWS environment.
  • Experience in development in order to troubleshoot and propose/implement software bug fixes.
  • Good background in Linux/Unix administration.
  • Demonstrable ability to rapidly learn new technologies to solve problems in new areas.


  • Strong notions of security best practices.
  • Previous exposure to large-scale systems design.
  • Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
